Has it been that long?

Almost a month now. Go figure. I thought I'd be better at that keeping this up to date. The new news in my life: nothing. Absolutely nothing. That's how frickin' exciting my life is. The high point is eagerly awaiting the Shuttle launch. It's been two and a half years since the last launch meaning that I haven't been at JSC for an actual launch (granted, the launch happens in Florida, not Texas). However, it looks like it's going to happen next week so it's going to be a rockin' good time around here.

I've also decided (finally) that my social life is colder than an artic yak's teat. Accordingly, I took the next logical step: online dating. Aha! But I'm not talking about your average everyday online dating service. No no no. That would be too easy. Instead I signed up for Jdate, the only online dating service specifically for elibigle young jewish singles. I used to make fun of shit like this in college. How did I get to this point? I've only had one other experience with online dating and it was stange at best. I met a girl through Yahoo! and we started emailing which led to a phone conversation. Not a bad conversation. Then she invited me to her place to watch a movie. Never met her before, this was the first conversation. Of course I went.

Turns out she was a bit over-excited, meaning that she seemed a bit desperate. Nice girl, but not really what I was going for. So I bailed. I spoke to her a few times afterwards but that eventually ended. Ok, I ignored her until she stopped calling me. But that halted my involvement in online dating for a bit. Now I'm back. No dates yet but I'm learning the small details necessary in online dating. Not quite intuitive but there are some hotties on jdate so I plan on posting some good stuff eventually about these awesome dates I'm going to have. Because, really, it's about time I got out there and met a lady. My single friends are dwindling quickly...
